Styled Shoot: Industrial Elegance

Back in March of last year, a stunning styled photoshoot was held at our venue. An absolute dream team of local suppliers came together to showcase their trades in a shoot that celebrated the industrial elegance of The River Mill.

Setting The Scene

The River Mill, an 18th Century building lovingly restored into an exclusive-use wedding venue was the background to this day. With a wealth of character our space features exposed brick, original wooden beams and slanted skylights which flood the space with light.

Industrial Elegance Theme

When deciding on a theme for the shoot, we wanted to honour the history of the building but bring it to the current day by adding pops of colour and modern touches. The contrast created the most gorgeous look and feel to the building!

The Bridal Look

Mimi Toko supplied a showstopping Eva Mendel wedding gown, the style called ‘Areta’. This mermaid style dress is entirely decorated with beads and sequins and had the most amazing sparkle under the sunlight and fairy lights in our venue. This super feminine dress was a gorgeous contrast to our industrial venue.

Tablescapes & Details

Our good friend Tara Knott styled the space, using gorgeous stationery from PS Weddings and flowers from Nadia Di Tullio Flowers. Pink and purple tones with plenty of texture created the perfect floral arrangements.

Capturing The Moment

Local photographer Matt at Field Photographic joined us for the day, and captured the concept so perfectly. With many years of experience in the industry, Matt doesn’t miss a detail!

Keep your eyes for more gorgeous styled shoots in the future, providing the ultimate wedding inspiration.
